The Nordic Art School is one of the best known and successful intermediate level art schools in Scandinavia. The students come from all over Scandinavia and other countries. The teaching is based on the system of guest teachers, who are working at school in two weeks periods running workshops in painting, print making, audio-visual projects, installation and photography. The leading idea of school is the meaning of drawing as a way of visual thinking. In case you are not sleeping your life through, The Nordic Art School offers a great opportunity to work day and night. Every student gets a studio of her/his own and there is access 24 hours to studio. The students have their own keys to school building. Part of the teaching is taking place in common classrooms, but partly students work in their own studios, where the teachers are visiting and giving individual feed back and critic. The school is encouraging the students to work also on their own projects after the school hours. |
